We got a pair of these and have now ordered them for each of our grown children for Christmas. They really do stay cool on the outside so you can take them out of the microwave. They wash without melting in the dishwasher and we will probably end up having to have two more for when they are waiting to be washed! It really is something we use almost every day. Actually I can't say enough good about them. Was trying to think of a negative - wish they came in other colors.
