I serve 12 people at family dinners, and although I have a large dining table, I am pressed for space when serving "family-style". Regular salad plates take up considerable space, while these crescent shaped dishes snuggle right up next to the dinner plate,leaving more room for serving plates/dishes. They also make nice dessert dishes for a bridge luncheon, etc.

The product title and description say these are 'cut glass' but they look and feel like pressed glass which in turn make them appear cheap. I was hoping to be able to use these both occasionally on informal dinner tables and more importantly to save space and add visual interest to more formal table scapes. But these look tacky, especially sitting next to my cut glass and chrystal serving pieces. Although they are fine for everyday they won't do for more formal applications which is a shame - because if I'd known that I would not have purchased two dozen anticipating using them in my formal dining room.
